“The Ann Bancroft Foundation supports Minnesota girls and gender-expansive youth in grades K-12 to live their dreams and imagine something bigger through grants, mentorship, and ongoing development opportunities. Students may apply for a one-time grant of up to $1,000 to fund opportunities such as:
- Art, cultural, leadership, educational classes and programs
- Outdoors/wilderness experiences
- Sports dues, athletic equipment, and participation fees
- Technology equipment and access
- Writing classes, publishing fees
- Business start-up costs
Given recent events and the importance of mental well-being, applications may also support mental health through meaningful activities or through working directly with a licensed therapist or mental health provider.

Eligibility: “Any Kindergarten – 12th-grade Minnesota resident who identifies as a girl, including those who identify as cisgender, transgender, gender non-conforming, and gender non-binary. Before applying for a grant, the applicant must self-identify a mentor who will help them navigate the application process, support them through the grant activity, and be a resource as they continue in the future.”
