Shereen White has been recognized by the National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC) as the 2023 Outstanding Legal Advocate as part of its Promoting Excellence Awards.
White is the director of advocacy and policy at national advocacy organization Children’s Rights.
White “is an outstanding person who brings enormous talents and passion to this very difficult work with joy, humor, and wisdom. She is an important part of a moment and movement that is leading to better, happier, and safer lives for children,” NACC said in a written statement.
The 2023 Promoting Excellence Awards also recognized Kaveh Landsverk from the Children’s Law Center of California as the year’s Outstanding New Lawyer; Rose Wehrman of Columbia Law School as Outstanding Law Student; and Frank Cervone for Distinguished Achievement.
