Eva Giglio is the new executive director of CME Group Foundation.

Giglio comes to the Chicago education and career nonprofit from the city’s public school system. She most recently served as deputy chief of staff of Chicago Public Schools. Prior to that, she worked as director in the chief education office.

A twelve-year veteran of education, Giglio got her start as middle and high school Spanish teacher at the public Kenwood Academy on Chicago’s south side. After six years teaching, she began to move up the ranks, resulting in her executive roles at CPS. She recently co-led the Chicago’s Pre-K through 12 Reopening Schools Task Force during the COVID-19 pandemic and is a fellow of the Leadership Greater Chicago class of 2021.

Giglio attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning a bachelor’s degree Spanish education. Always in Chicago, she then moved on to North Park University for her graduate education; obtaining a master’s degree in educational leadership while still teaching Spanish to high-schoolers.

“We are excited to welcome Eva Giglio to the CME Group Foundation where she brings over a decade of experience in advancing strategic education initiatives that have advanced the lives of students across Chicago,” said Anita Liskey, Senior Managing Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications at CME Group, in a press release about the appointment. Her deep experience in education closely aligns the CME Group Foundation primary area of focus.”

Eva Giglio succeeds Kassie Davis, who recently announced her retirement after leading the foundation since its creation in 2008.
