The National 4-H Council recently announced the appointment of Ivan Heredia as its new senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

With a career firmly in youth-focused media, Heredia comes to the nation’s largest youth development organization after nearly a decade at the Walt Disney Company as vice president of marketing, brand engagement and revenue. During his time at Disney, Heredia served on the Disney Channel’s Leader & Learning Advisory Board which saw him leading efforts to foster diversity, equity and inclusion.

Before Disney, Heredia served as director of marketing and talent relations at Nickelodeon for six years. With nearly 20 years ensconced in youth media and culture, Heredia is a perfect fit to lead 4-H’s efforts in connecting with youth across the nation, even in the midst of a pandemic.

Heredia’s upbringing in Brooklyn, New York had him witness the immense positive impact of youth development organizations. After graduating from New York University with a communications degree in marketing and advertising, his working career began in the music industry with Warner Media Group. He then moved on to Nickelodeon.

Heredia’s new position will see him leading all 4-H marketing efforts. In an increasingly digital world further spurred by the coronavirus pandemic, he will immediately focus on leading an efficient expansion of 4-H’s e-commerce and digital platforms to help reach more young people in the comfort of their own homes.

“National 4-H Council is so excited to welcome Ivan Heredia to our executive team,” said National 4-H Council’s President and CEO Jennifer Sirangelo in a press release about the appointment. “With his distinguished career as a brand innovator in kids and family entertainment, Ivan will bring 4-H to new, diverse audiences as we continue to build opportunity for all kids in the United States.”

Ivan Heredia officially assumes the responsibilities of senior vice president and chief marketing officer of the National 4-H Council on Mar. 1, 2021.
