Youth Talk 2016 Presidential Election

A dozen teens from different schools, backgrounds and neighborhoods gathered at VOX Teen Communications in Atlanta to share their thoughts, concerns and hopes relating to the election. Some of them will vote for the first time this year; others are still too young, but they all care deeply about the election.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, one-half of young people (under age 18) in the United States today are people of color. And these teens’ priorities and election-related concerns were clear: race, education, immigration and safety.

Full disclosure: Youth Today Managing Editor Rachel Wallack is founder and publishing director of VOX.
