Johns Hopkins University’s National Center for Summer Learning will host a conference call Friday at 1 p.m. about how to access funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The call will focus on three streams: Title I and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act funds from the Department of Education, and Workforce Investment Act money from the Department of Labor.
Featured speakers on the call will be Ron Fairchild from Johns Hopkins; Chrisandra Richardson, director of academic support initiatives for Montgomery County (Md.) Public Schools; and Greg Weltz, chief of youth services at the Department of Labor.
RSVP to apgordon@jhu.edu by TODAY to receive a call-in number and instructions. Go to www.summerlearning.org/recovery before you get on the call, as speakers will be referencing items from that website.
