“The Carolina Hurricanes Foundation is pleased to support local nonprofits through grant funding. The Foundation accepts grant proposals on an annual basis for three grants, awarded at various levels of funding. Priority for grant funding is given to nonprofits that share the Foundation’s mission and focus on children’s health and education.
- Game Changer Grants – Game Changer Grants are intended to assist organizations make a positive impact in our community on the grassroots level.
- GOAL (Growing Opportunities And Leaders) Grants – Grants at the GOAL level are meant to help organizations make a sustainable, high-impact in their service area.
- Future Canes Grants – Future Canes Grants are designed to strengthen and grow youth hockey in North Carolina, ensuring that hockey is accessible for everyone.”

Eligibility: “To receive grant funding from the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation, organizations must:
- Be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service
- Share the mission of the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation to strive to meet the health and education needs of children with a focus in impacting underserved populations, and/or to strengthen youth hockey in our community
- Serve children in the state of North Carolina with a focus in health or education
- Be in operation for three or more years.”
