Child Welfare 

A Florida community college will receive a $1.1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to build job skills for at-risk youth.

NPR highlights a program that pairs juvenile offenders with mentors to study literature.

Five Illinois programs will receive federal money to help at-risk youth finish high school and get job training.
