This report looks at the lives, needs, aspirations and concerns of Littles, the children who are mentored through Big Brothers Big Sisters, as well as thoughts from their Bigs on what challenges confront the Littles in their homes, schools and communities. The report explores, among other things, the Littles’ views on topics that range from the presence of negative influences in their social spheres to their perceptions on the relevance of their schools. The report is meant to help inform Big Brothers Big Sisters as the organization formulates battle plans to engage and advocate for children said to be “at risk.” It is also meant to spur former or prospective mentors into action.
