The Legacy of a Slain Los Angeles Anti-Gang Worker

Ronald “Looney” Barron, a Los Angeles gang intervention worker killed in February when he interrupted a youth “tagging” a restaurant wall, is the subject of a story about how his best friend and gang intervention partner, Tommie Rivers, carried on their work to teach children how to resist the lure of gangs.  The story by the Los Angeles Times’ Scott Gold is here.
