Labor Dept. Reveals Youth Activities Funds

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration has released its final allotments for Youth Activities for program year 2010.

The total appropriated level under the Workforce Investment Act funding stream is $924,069,000. That which includes roughly $908 million for states, nearly $14 million for Native American programs, and $2.3 million for outlying areas.

The amounts for each state were determined by how bad unemployment was in certain areas and how many disadvantaged youths (ages 16 to 21) were in those areas. To see the figures for your state click here.
