Community Collaboration For Children, Youth and Families Award

For: Efforts to collaborate with the community and other agencies to ensure better services for families and children.

By: Child Welfare League of America.

Winner: St. Rose Youth and Family Reunification Program, a collaboration of Wisconsin government agencies and correctional facilities that helps incarcerated mothers maintain relationships with their children.

Yoshiyama Award

For: Exemplary Service to the Community; 10 high school seniors receive $5,000 each.

By: The Hitachi Foundation.

Winners Include: David Adamiec of Westbrook, Conn., whose Kidpacks of America organization sends emergency and school supplies to children in his home state and Washington, D.C.; Christie Dillard of Dickens, Iowa, who oversaw the reorganization and relocation of her town’s public library; Emma Yuen of Ninole, Hawaii, president of Hilo High School’s Greenpeace chapter.
