Matthew Randazzo is the New President of the Dallas Foundation

Dallas Foundation CEO; Matthew Randazzo headshot in navy suit & tie.The board of governors of Texas’ oldest community foundation, the Dallas Foundation, unanimously selected Matthew Randazzo as its next president. With a career almost completely in the nonprofit sector, Randazzo is the current CEO of the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI), having joined in 2014 as chief growth and strategy officer. Prior to his time at NMSI he worked at the Annie E. Casey Foundation and IDEA Public Schools, a nonprofit that operates charter schools focused on serving economically disadvantaged youth. He was also the founding president and CEO of the education improvement-focused nonprofit, Choose to Succeed. His first job after completing his education was at the Junior Statesmen Foundation, where he work for more than four years and eventually become its chief growth and strategy officer. Randazzo earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and Latin American studies from Albion College and a master’s of public affairs in public policy from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2016 he was chosen for AECF’s Children and Family Fellowship, select group of nonprofit, academic and public sector leaders who are recognized for their dedication to improving the lives of children and families. Randazzo will assume his new role as president of the Dallas Foundation mid-year. He succeeds Mary Jalonick, who has led the foundation for 30 years.
