These two resources can help mental health and substance abuse professionals organize and strengthen their work force development efforts.
The “action plan” provides key findings from a multiyear process that examined how public and private collaboration strengthens the behavioral health work force. “Strengthening Professional Identity” summarizes trends in addiction treatment; addresses issues of recruitment, retention and staff development; and provides recommendations for improving management, education and accreditation, and work force infrastructure.
