THIS GRANT’S FOCUS: Math Education, Education Technology, Teacher/Educator Support, Learning Improvement
Deadline:
May 1, 2026

“The purpose of this grant is to encourage the innovative use of technology or tools to support students’ ability to make mathematical abstractions more concrete, to visualize mathematical ideas, and/or to model using mathematics.  This could be accomplished by designing and implementing classroom lessons that incorporate the use of tools and technology and/or by designing professional development to support teacher’s use of tools and technology in the classroom.

Tools refers to manipulatives (e.g., pattern blocks, base-ten blocks, connecting cubes, etc.) and other concrete materials (e.g.,  rulers, protractors, etc.) that would provide hands-on experiences for students. Although technology generally conjures up devices such as computers, tablets, and calculators, for the purposes of this grant, we are referring to apps, programs, and software which can be used with existing hardware. [Hardware cannot be purchased with funding from this grant.]”
