“The Richard L & Diane M Block Foundation is dedicated to supporting nonprofits that enrich the well-being of Alaska’s people. What We Fund:
- Scholarships: An existing scholarship endowment at Alaska Pacific University — Scholarship to attend Alaska Pacific University for “a student graduating from an Alaska high school outside the Municipality of Anchorage.” The entitlement to this scholarship is determined by Alaska Pacific University and requests for information concerning conditions and applications should be addressed to them.
- Exceptional Teacher Award Fund (ETAF): The West High Exceptional Teacher Award is presented to teachers who have demonstrated an extraordinary contribution to the preparation of students for life after graduation; including intellectual accomplishment, community contribution, social integration, and personal motivation.
- Cultural & Arts Organizations: Various named and unnamed Cultural & Arts Organizations located in Alaska to support operations, capital improvements and programs.
- Social Services Organizations: Various named and unnamed Social Service Organizations located in Alaska to support operations, capital improvements and programs.”
