Community health equity and STEM program grants

“The AstraZeneca ACT on Health Equity: Community Solutions Challenge is advancing health equity through the support of community-based nonprofit programming that prioritizes the social, cultural and linguistic needs of communities that have experienced barriers to care and opportunity. Programming must focus on one of the following areas:

• Nutrition & Food Security: Address nutrition as a social determinant of health, including reducing food insecurity and providing comprehensive nutritional education to improve health outcomes.
• Healthcare Access:Improve access to quality healthcare by addressing barriers, including health education, and patient-centered support that helps individuals navigate and reach care.
• Education: Enhance access to quality educational and career readiness opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for underserved communities.
• Climate and Nature: Addresses the interconnectedness of environmental and human health by reducing environmental impacts, improving air and water quality, expanding access to green spaces, and advancing nature-based solutions, with a focus on those disproportionately affected by environmental challenges and injustices.”
