“Our Community Development Grant Program is designed to assist qualified organizations that focus on revitalizing communities, expanding affordable housing and economic opportunities, and enhancing community facilities and services. This program principally benefits low- and moderate-income individuals in designated distressed and underserved rural communities, as well as throughout southeast Alaska. We consider requests to support programs and projects that are highly effective or innovative that primarily benefit low- and moderate-income individuals and families and do not duplicate other programs or services. Funding Priorities:
- Economic Priorities: (1) Affordable Housing; (2) Self-Sufficiency; (3) Economic Development
- Education: (1) Innovative programs that help low-income and at-risk students succeed in school and prepare for post-secondary education; (2) Financial literacy training; (3) Effective mentoring programs.”
