“The Opioid Abatement Community Grants Program is designed to help deploy New Hampshire’s opioid settlement funding out into the community for aligned projects that prevent, reduce, and address the harms of the opioid crisis across the state… The program was approved in June 2025 by the Governor and Executive Council and will invest $10 million over two years in strategies that:
- Support community-led efforts to reduce opioid-related harms by investing in a continuum of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention services and activities;
- Address the root causes of opioid use disorder;
- Expand access to evidence-informed prevention, treatment, harm reduction and recovery services and supports;
- Promote collaboration and innovation among organizations working to respond to the opioid epidemic.
Grant priorities align with RSA 126-A:86 and statewide opioid abatement guiding strategies and are informed by a community advisory team that includes subject-matter experts and individuals with lived experience.”

Eligibility: “(1) Any nonprofit 501(c)(3) or charitable organization registered and in good standing with the New Hampshire Secretary of State and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Charitable Trusts Unit (CTU). | (2) New Hampshire state agencies, boards, or commissions. | (3) Governmental entities including school districts, towns, cities, and counties within the state of New Hampshire.”
Amount: Up to $75,000 per year | Short-Term Responsive Grants: Up to $15,000
