“In addition to funding short term residencies taking place in pre K-12 public school settings, artists and organizations can apply for Arts Education funding to support residencies for learners of any age taking place in community-based settings. The residencies for either In-School or In-Community can be presented as virtual programming. In-School Arts Education Grants & Community-based Arts Education Grants ranging from $500-$3,000 are available to eligible non-profit arts and cultural organizations and individual artists based in Fulton, Montgomery, and Saratoga Counties.

In-School Arts Education Grants:

  • The residency will take place in a prek-12 public school during or after school hours
  • The lead applicant must be an artist or non-profit cultural organization
  • The proposed project must be sequential and include three contact sessions between an artist and the same core group of students.

Community-Based Arts Education Grants:

  • The residency will take place at a community-based setting (i.e. library, senior center, community center, etc.)
  • The lead applicant must be an artist or non-profit cultural organization
  • The proposed project must be sequential and include three contact sessions between an artist and the same core group of students.”
