“The FY 2020 VOCA Training and Technical Assistance for Child Abuse Professionals Program will provide for the development and implementation of a model technical assistance and training program for child abuse professionals and to improve the judicial system’s handling of child abuse and neglect cases. The program’s overall goal is to enhance the coordinated multidisciplinary investigation and prosecution of child abuse. The program provides training opportunities and technical assistance, develops and disseminates publications, and promotes methods to provide project assessment and enhance coordination among multidisciplinary teams and other VOCA programs in the investigation and prosecution of child abuse.”

Eligibility:
“National organizations that: – have a diverse portfolio of training and technical assistance resources for the diverse professionals who respond to child abuse, including a digital library to promote evidence-informed practice, and – have demonstrated experience in providing training and technical assistance for child abuse professionals, especially law enforcement officers, child protective service workers, prosecutors, forensic interviewers, medical professionals, victim advocates, and mental health professionals. Nonprofit organizations that hold money in offshore accounts for the purposes of avoiding paying the tax described in 26 U.S.C. § 511(a) are not eligible to apply.”
