Education

An audit of the U.S. Department of Education handling of charter school funding has been revealed improper monitoring of state spending, The Washington Post reports.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports rising costs also found at the community college level, which has caused attendance has declined.

Child Welfare

The Arizona Republic features a local advocacy group dedicated to making voting decisions on behalf of child rights.  

Juvenile Justice 

The U.S. Department of Justice has filed suit against Mississippi and local officials for violating children’s rights by implementing what the Department calls a “school-to-prison pipeline,” the Chicago Tribune reports.
