Building Blocks For Kids: Creating Intervention Systems That Support Young Children’s Healthy Development

Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago

This webcast, a one-hour recording of which is available online, focuses on how states and municipalities can strengthen the infrastructure to support early childhood services that promote school readiness and other developmental goals. The four panelists provide concrete examples of effective partnerships at both the county and state levels, discuss the results of research and how the findings influence practice, and describe new funding opportunities through federal economic stimulus funds.

The panelists are Tana Ebbole, CEO, Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, Fla.; Elliot Regenstein, executive committee member of the Illinois Early Learning Council; Julie Spielberger, research fellow, Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago; and Pat Stanislaski, administrator of New Jersey’s Office of Early Childhood Services.
