The Coalition of Community Foundations for Youth recently changed its name to CFLeads (Community Foundations Leading Change), to reflect what leaders call a broadened scope. The organization, founded in 1991 and led by Executive Director Cindy Ballard, was originally focused on improving conditions and services for children, youth and families.
Associate Director Becky Hornbeck says CFLeads now addresses systems and policy issues for the larger community. It intends to maintain a strong footing in youth work, but will expand its reach to community foundations involved in other endeavors of social policy and practice.
