This documentary, taped by inmates at Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Wisconsin, is intended to show young girls the realities of everyday prison life. Several inmates discuss the actions that landed them in prison and stress the lack of personal freedom, the unglamorous lifestyle and the loneliness of incarceration. Each inmate advises young women about how to make wise decisions, and distance themselves from drugs and gangs, in order to stay out of prison. (800) 633-7445, http://www.newist.org.
