Youth & Violence: Students Speak Out for a More Civil Society

This report culminates three years of research based on asking youth to help solve youth violence issues. Among the varied responses were several common observations and suggestions, such as that small actions lead to major violent outbursts, and support for stricter gun control. The report addresses different types of violence and shows that emotional violence appears to be more prevalent (and some say as damaging as) physical violence. Conducted by the Families and Work Institute and commissioned by the Colorado Trust. 81 pages. $21.50. Families and Work Institute, 267 Fifth Ave., 2nd Fl., New York, NY 10016.
