May 31, 2019

“This year, [the association] is accepting proposals from non-profit organizations that have a focus and/or concentration on expanding healthy food access for children living in underserved communities throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Priority will be given to proposals that promote systemic change through strong, outcome-focused initiatives (including, but not limited to, community collaborations, environmental and programmatic interventions, and policy advocacy) that target priority neighborhoods most burdened by a limited access to healthy food. Program deliverables include anticipated measurable impact and outcomes, and an outline of how the program can be sustained and/or reproduced beyond this grant. Please note that the American Heart Association will have no influence over the project’s content or development, outside of sharing any relevant data or scientifically-backed resources.”
