“The OJJDP Family-Based Alternative Sentencing Program seeks to build the capacity of states, state and local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized tribal governments to implement new, or enhance existing, alternative sentencing programs for parents in the criminal justice system to improve child, parent, and family outcomes.”

Eligibility: Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, private institutions of higher education, public and State controlled institutions of higher education, for profit organizations other than small businesses, special district governments, city or township governments, county governments, state governments, Native American tribal governments (federally recognized), Native American tribal organizations (other than federally recognized tribal governments), others.
