Winners: Ibrahim Ayeh of Minneapolis, a program provider to the Twin Cities immigrant community; Isaac Combs of White Bear Lake, director of the Mt. Airy chapter of the Boys & Girls Club in St. Paul; Robin and Starla Krause of Minneapolis, creators of a year-round program teaching inner-city students gardening, nutrition and cooking; Jimmy Longoria of Hopkins, an artist running Peace Through Art and Urban Camouflage programs; Patricia Melody of Oakdale, an oblate of the Sisters of St. Benedict of St. Paul’s Monastery, who helps people facing homelessness; Steve O’Neil of Duluth, a community organizer and co-founder of two local nonprofits, Loaves and Fishes and Northern Communities Land Trust.
