More communities are trying to confront prescription drug abuse among teens. Teens have relatively easy access to prescription medication: The home medicine cabinet is where youth are most likely to find OxyContin, Tylenol with codeine, Viagra and various anti-depressants. Although 75 percent of young people are aware of the danger and illegality of taking drugs not prescribed for them, two-thirds of teens recently surveyed in Snohomish County, Wash., said they knew at least one person who abuses prescription drugs.
