Carolinas Child Care Program Support Grants

Subject: Child Care, Child Welfare, Safety, Child Health
Deadline: Dec. 15, 2018 (Pre-Applications)

“Our work fulfills the visionary genius and legacy of our founder James B. Duke. We apply our resources by underwriting effective practices and proven programs with a documented record of success, by supporting innovative solutions to widespread problems and by funding systems and facilities that strengthen organizations. Within Child Care, we focus our work in two main areas:

  • Prevention and Early Intervention for At-Risk Children: Programs that focus on replicating evidence-based programs, (such as Incredible Years, or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and building North Carolina and South Carolina’s capacity to implement evidence-based models.
  • Out-Of-Home Care: Programs that help the child welfare system improve well-being through better assessment and the exclusive use of high quality providers that offer a range of services during and after care.

Our funding is divided into three broad categories. (1) Replicating Success, (2) Strengthening Organizations and (3) Advancing Innovation.”

Funder: The Duke Endowment
