“NYLC is launching Peacebuilding in Action, a new pilot of their Youth as Solutions programming, in collaboration with 9/11 Day. Peacebuilding in Action supports young people to address conflict on a local level, creating unity that leads to a more inclusive and equitable society. NYLC is actively recruiting 10 youth leadership teams (teams consist of a minimum of 2 youth leaders and an adult leader) in grades 6-12 to join Peacebuilding in Action, kicking off in March 2024 and running through September 2024. Each team will receive national recognition for your work, free professional development for adults, leadership skills development for youth, a $500 grant to implement your service-learning project, and a $500 stipend for the adult leader’s program assessment.”

Eligibility: “Leadership Teams led by a minimum of two youth leaders in grades 6-12 along with an adult leader (teacher or group advisor), sponsored by a U.S. public K-12 school, U.S. school district, or U.S. nonprofit 501(c)3 (including private, not-for-profit schools).”
