“The Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium is excited to announce that we are partnering with Grammy award-winning musician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Megan Thee Stallion’s Pete and Thomas Foundation, once again, for a SPECIAL cycle of our signature #BlackGirlJoyChallenge focusing on mental health and wellness!
For this special cycle of the #BlackGirlJoyChallenge, we are looking for 100 young girls, young women and gender-expansive youth, between the ages of 12-24, who can come up with creative projects that will maintain mental wellness, manage physical health and bring joy to your community! All you have to do is fill out an application and describe your idea. If your idea is selected, you’ll win a $550 challenge award to bring your JOY dream to life!”

Eligibility: “Young girls, young women and gender-expansive youth, between the ages of 12-24 residing in the 13-state region within the southern United States, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, East Texas, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Virginia.“
