“Youth Advocate Programs (YAP), Inc. has received private funding that is allowing our organization to expand into geographical areas where YAP does not currently serve. The focus of our expansion will be in support of:
(1) Emerging young adults up to age 25 with complex needs (homeless, older youth in the child welfare or justice systems and or/probation and parole populations, CSEC populations, etc.);
(2) Reduce youth prison populations and/or help close youth prisons and return young people safely home;
(3) Develop year-round services for young people in public schools who have behavioral, academic learning loss, trauma, truancy or other high/complex needs and improve parent/guardian engagement.
This solicitation is to enter into a cooperative agreement between YAP and a State or County Governmental Agency, large School Districts or Managed Care Organizations to implement YAP’s Wraparound Advocacy services built around the organization’s flagship model, YAPWrap™, to expand or enhance community-based alternatives for the target populations. YAPWrap™ is holistic, trauma-informed, effective, and evidence-based programming delivered in local communities through locally recruited and trained staff.”
