“With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to provide funding for applicants to develop and/or enhance strategies to prevent youth violence, including youth gang involvement and youth gang/group violence. Strategies funded through this solicitation may work in coordination with community violence intervention (CVI) strategies that target youth at the highest risk of violence, but the focus for this solicitation is on delivering prevention and early intervention services for at-risk youth. The goal of this program is to prevent youth violence, including youth gang/group violence, through data-driven strategies. Project sites are expected to use funding to develop and implement violence prevention strategies targeted toward middle and high school age youth who have multiple risk factors for violence.
Specific objectives include:
(1) Increase protective factors to prevent violence and delinquent behavior by youth.
(2) Implement data-driven, evidence-informed, and community-led approaches.
(3) Develop and/or enhance direct service programs for youth with multiple risk factors for violence.”

Eligibility: Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, for profit organizations other than small businesses, private institutions of higher education, public and state controlled institutions of higher education, city or township governments, county governments, independent school districts, Native American tribal governments (federally recognized), others.
