“[The funder] is seeking to establish collaborative partnerships with qualified youth conservation corps organizations to:
- Engage individuals from diverse backgrounds (including tribal youth and veterans) between the ages of 16 and 30 to perform cost-effective conservation projects on eligible service lands,
- Expose young men and women to public service while furthering their awareness and appreciation of the nation’s natural and cultural resources,
- Provide individuals with the specific skills and certifications to be successful and employable in natural resource careers,
- Expand educational pathways for individuals through higher education and job-entry training opportunities, and
- Introduce the nation’s young men and women to conservation careers by exposing them to conservation professionals and mentorship opportunities in land managing agencies.”
