GRANT FOCUS: Youth Mental Health, Health, LGBTQ Youth, Rural Youth, Minority Youth
Amount: Unspecified
Deadline: June 15, 2019 | Oct. 15, 2019
“The funding opportunity aims to build social-emotional skills and create supportive environments to improve resiliency for young people facing barriers to mental well-being. Through this funding opportunity, the Foundation seeks to enhance young people’s social-emotional skills and positive relationships, so they have greater ability to cope and thrive despite adversity.
Proposed programs and/or projects must reflect the Foundation’s cornerstones, as our work is grounded in serving Coloradans who have low income and historically have had less power or privilege, putting the creation of health equity at the center of everything we do, and being informed by the community and those we exist to serve.
Eligible organizations work with:
- Youth in rural and frontier communities;
- Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) youth; and/or
- Youth of color
The Foundation also encourages applicants that include participants from the following populations:
- Youth in or aging out of foster care
- Youth from immigrant, refugee or mixed-status families
- Youth involved in the juvenile justice system.”
Funder: The Colorado Health Foundation
Eligibility: “Eligible applicants include community-based organizations (501(c)(3) or public agencies) that engage youth in safe, supportive and culturally responsive environments that intentionally work to enhance social-emotional skills.”
