NM Youth Environmental Education, Conservation and Job/Career Training Grants

GRANT FOCUS: Environmental Education, Youth Development, Job/Career Training
Amount: $16,000 – $700,000 | Deadline: July 15, 2019

“The program assists the BLM with diversifying the workforce while exposing participants to the complex cultural and natural resource issues faced by managers of the National System for Public Lands. The primary objective of the youth program is to work with Qualified Youth and Conservation Corps to engage individuals, to include tribal youth between the ages of 16 and 30, inclusive, and veterans up to age 35, recruited from local and surrounding communities to assist with completing projects that help protect and promote multiple-use conservation projects on public lands.”

Eligibility: Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education), Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized).
