This program is designed “to fund technical studies to improve existing methods for detecting and controlling key housing-related health and safety hazards; to develop new methods to detect and control these hazards; and to improve our knowledge of key housing-related health and safety hazards.”

Eligibility: Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, small businesses, for profit organizations other than small businesses, independent school districts, private institutions of higher education, city or township governments, state governments, county governments, public and state controlled institutions of higher education, special district governments, public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), others.
