Blog Action Network
http://www.change.org/action-network
This self-described “online hub for social change,” http://Change.org, has launched what it is calling the web’s first action network. This website provides links to numerous partner sites, where users can find out about social change opportunities and take action. Called the Blog Action Network, one purpose of the site is to organize bloggers so they can use their sites to effect change. Once they create a free member account, bloggers can use this site to reach a wider audience, and http://Change.org uses their blogs to allow people to sign up for service work. The home page features an Action Network leader board that ranks the top 20 sites, based on the number of social change actions that have resulted.
