The Library of Congress is attempting to encourage reading and to spark interest about authors and illustrators through the creation of this website. Site users can read a selection of classic books, including A Christmas Carol and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, in their entirety and view more than 20 webcasts of presentations by authors. The site also includes suggested reading lists and online book clubs. The book information is categorized by kids, teens, adults and educators and parents.
