The Western States Youth Services Network (WSYSN), which comprises 76 member organizations, is shutting down due to financial difficulties.
“We simply do not have sufficient revenue for our next year to continue at the level that our members have come to expect,” the board of directors said in an e-mail to members.
The network covered federal Region IX, encompassing Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and the Outer Pacific Territories.
The network, incorporated as a nonprofit in 1981, was slated to close its doors as of Sept. 30. It was based in Petaluma, Calif.
