The Forum for Youth Investment
State children’s cabinets are typically made up of the heads of government agencies serving a state’s youngest constituents. This report – built with the input and experiences of more than 20 such bodies that participated in interviews with the Forum – concludes that cabinets should focus on articulating a common vision, creating a climate and standards for shared accountability, engaging stakeholders and implementing an integrated set of change strategies. It notes that the groups’ ability to perform these tasks is influenced by such structural characteristics as composition, authority and resources. Free. 16 pages.
