After the April release of a congressionally authorized study showing that youth who took abstinence-only classes were just as likely to have premarital sex as those who did not, an increasing number of states are moving toward adopting comprehensive sex education curricula that teach both contraception and abstinence. In New Hampshire, several districts offer parents a choice between abstinence-only and comprehensive classes.
