Winners include: Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC), Australia, for working on building a generation-wide movement to help solve climate change; Emmanuel Youth Empowerment Program, Kenya, for promoting computer literacy and life skills training in the Dagoretti slums of Nairobi;

On World Kyoto Day, the AYCC Brisbane Group protests for stronger carbon pollution reduction targets.

MuJeres por la Justicia, Educación y el Reconocimiento (MuJER), Guatemala, for creating a community center for women sex workers in Guatemala City; Unite for Sight, United States, for training and monitoring health workers in Ghana.
