“We are committed to helping individuals and communities overcome common barriers to economic mobility and generational wealth-building by increasing avenues to family wage jobs, entrepreneurship and small business ownership. If you’re interested in submitting a proposal for a career-oriented program, consider:
- Programs that facilitate access to in-demand, family-wage jobs in the trades, sciences and green sectors
- Programs for adults focused on skill development
- Wrap-around services offering mentorship, transportation and other resources that impact workforce participation
- Proposals that offer entrepreneurship and business-ownership support for minority- and woman-owned small businesses
We prioritize organizations and programs that demonstrate elements of the following:
Core Mission – The mission of the organization prioritizes: (1) Increasing access to high-demand, family-wage jobs in trades, STEM, and green sectors; (2) Job readiness for working-age individuals focused on improving skills, knowledge, and capabilities; (3) Employment barriers through wrap-around services, mentoring, self-advocacy, etc.; (4) Entrepreneurship and business ownership for BIPOC and women-owned small businesses
Outcomes – The proposed project will result in: (1) Greater access to and readiness for high demand, family wage jobs in high-demand fields; (2) Reduced barriers to employment through wraparound supports; (3) Increased individual and generational wealth for Black, Indigenous, people of color, rural, and those in poverty through small business ownership and entrepreneurship; (4) Greater autonomy and advanced economic prosperity of individuals and families.”

Eligibility: Oregon-based and -serving nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations or those with qualifying equivalent status.
Amount: $5,000 – $25,000 (on average)
