“Our grants support organizations and programs within the five boroughs of New York City and the Hudson Valley that elevate community-led solutions to problems caused by racism, gender oppression and greed.
• Rapid Response Grants: To support organizing, activism, and strategic convening in response to urgent threats or breaking opportunities, especially during critical junctures of a campaign. Rolling deadline.
• Hudson Valley Grants: Long-term funding to grassroots groups in the Hudson Valley of New York that are building power. Currently accepting new applicants. Next deadline: 9pm on March 31, 2025.
• Let Us Breathe Fund Grants: Grants to support Black-led organizing for community safety, economic investment, and racial justice in Black communities. Currently accepting new applicants. Next deadline: 9pm on March 31, 2025.
• New York City Grants: General operating support to grassroots organizations that use organizing as a primary strategy in New York City. Currently accepting new applicants. Next deadline: 9pm on March 31, 2025.“
Funder: North Star Fund
Eligibility: “Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations or those with a fiscal sponsor with that status. Builds community power in at least one of the five boroughs of New York City, or in the Hudson Valley (Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia, Greene, Delaware, Rensselaer, Albany and Schoharie counties). We prioritize groups with a budget of less than $800,000.”
