Kimberly R. Alexander is the new executive director of Moms of Black Boys United, Inc. (M.O.B.B. United) and M.O.B.B. United for Social Change, Inc. (MUSC). The two sister advocacy and support organizations are focused on reshaping societal perceptions and policies concerning Black men and boys.
Alexander has spent 30 years in the healthcare sector, much of it as an assistant director of nursing and as an assisted living manager.
She has become a national leader and board member at M.O.B.B United over the past years and is known for leading the launch of mental health and autism awareness programs. She also played a key role in criminal justice reform initiatives in Louisiana and the “Raise the Age” legislative push in New York.
Alexander joined M.O.B.B. United after her 9-year-old son was threatened with arrest.
“Kimberley Robinson Alexander embodies the core values of MOBB United and brings a focused dedication to our mission of empowering and advocating for Black boys and young men. Her personal journey and professional background, as well as her work to launch key initiatives including mental health and community wellness programs, uniquely position her to drive the change we envision,” said M.O.B.B. United founder and board chair Depelsha McGruder in a news release about the appointment.
