K-12 teachers can search for lesson plans focused on service learning and submit lesson plans of their own on this site, a collaborative project of Youth Service America, America’s Promise Alliance and the State Farms Companies Foundation. The advanced search database organizes lesson plans by academic content, service-learning themes – such as “literacy & mentoring” and “AIDS awareness & education” – grade level, target population and more. Lesson plans are explained in a step-by-step process, and teachers can post comments on their experiences executing these plans.
