The Corporation for National and Community Service’s online database of service work opportunities is now available in Spanish. http://Servir.gov, the Spanish version of CNCS’ http://serve.gov, allows Spanish speakers to search for volunteer openings by ZIP code and lets volunteer recruiters post availabilities as well. CNCS research showed that more than 4.7 million Hispanic adults volunteered through a formal organization in 2008, up 400,000 from the previous year.
